The Dachstein West ski region was once again delighted to receive numerous awards from the International Ski Area Test this year.

The Dachstein West team took home no fewer than 6 awards this year. The ski area was honoured in the following categories:

The Dachstein Krippenstein cable cars with its offer on the mountain was certified by fulfilling 160 quality criteria and was particularly convincing in the panorama & nature experience category.

Innovative offers such as the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave, the Mammut Cave, the 5fingers viewing platform and the World Heritage spiral are key factors for the Austria-wide award.

The Grünberg cable car with its offer on the mountain was certified as one of the "Best Austrian Summer Cable Cars" by fulfilling 160 quality criteria and was particularly convincing in the category "Family Mountain". Innovative offers such as the Grünberg-Flitzer summer toboggan run, the treetop walk Salzkammergut and the adventure playground with the low ropes course are key factors for the Austria-wide award.

The Dachstein West ski region was named test winner 2023 by Skiresort.de in the category "Extra class: World's leading ski area with up to 60 km of pistes". This award makes Dachstein West one of the best ski resorts in the world in its size category. Skiresort.de is a renowned platform for ski resorts that carries out annual tests and evaluations to determine the best ski resorts in various categories.

The Dachstein Krippenstein in Obertraun received multiple awards at the 2022 summer test of Austrian cable car companies.

The offer on the mountain in harmony with nature as well as the popular team were honoured with DOUBLE-GOLD and GOLD several times.

There has been a cable car on Ebensee's local mountain, the Feuerkogel, for over 90 years and, with ongoing expansion, it is now an "excellent" ski area. The world's largest ski resort tester skiresort.de tested the Feuerkogel family ski resort with success.
